Current Obsession – Pink?

Now you would have to know by now that I am, by all means, not a girly, frilly, pink loving girl… Growing up I was always a bit of a tom-boy, you would not catch me dead wearing pink! Even today I think you would only find 1 item of clothing in my wardrobe that is pink, and it is a bold hot pink dress… Which is why I am quite shocked to admit that I have a little bit of a crush on pink at the moment, especially paired with some glamorous sparkling gold accessories and dramatic black, simply perfect! What’s even more shocking, is the fact that it is not even just the bold hot pinks and fuchsia shades I am loving, but I am even more drawn to the soft pastel shades and barely there blush. Sadly for pink I don’t think it will ever make it into my own home, (unless one day a little girl joins our family) but if you were considering adding some pink to your home here are some great photos I have been loving for inspiration.

If you do decide to try decorating with pink, be sure to use it in moderation, or you may end up with a sickly sweet looking room and we don’t want that do we? Stick to pink accessories such as cushions, rugs, vases and even art, to balance the space use various shades of pink, keep a neutral backdrop and add some gold or even silver accents for a glamorous touch.

What I’d love to know, do you think more and more pink is flooding into current fashion and interiors, or have I just suddenly taken my blinkers off and learnt to appreciate the beauty of pink? Are you with me on this look?

  1. I didn’t think of myself as girly either! I think with a good dose of black, gold and white it really sharpens it up!

Thank you for including my office wall! xoxo

    1. Oh wow thank you JD! I hadn’t realised that print was from Cozamia, I love it! I have shared Erika’s study and dining a few times now, just can’t get enough of her style, everything ‘That Girl’ touches turns to gold!
Oooh, and I see I am not the only one thinking pink and gold, I love your Kate Spade inspired art- simple yet effective!
