Over the weekend, while lost in the internet’s black hole again, I came across this trendy apartment, and just had to share it with you…
So let me guide you through… The apartment has been really well thought out and planned, giving a really spacious feel, yet still creating designated spaces making it feel very much like a house, rather than a small apartment. As you first enter, there is a big, simple white cupboard, which not only hides all your shoes and jackets as you walk in the door, but also acts as a room divider, creating a separate space for the living area. I also just love the box at the end, which actually wraps around the back of the cupboard too. Not only is it hidden additional storage, but it looks so inviting with the wooly hide to sit on while you put your shoes on ready for the day, or to collapse on as you strip off at the end of the day.
The living room sets the tone for the rest of the apartment, both in the styling and the colour palette. I love the simplicity of the shades of grey contrasting against the crisp white, while pops of red, aqua and tan add interest and personality to the space.
Over the other side of the entry is the kitchen and dining area. The dark timber floors are carried the whole way thought the apartment, except for in the bedrooms, where they are painted white. Simple black and white joinery in the kitchen keeps the space modern and allows the owner to add their own touches with artwork and plants on top of the kitchen cupboards. I love the graphic blind on the window, adding a bit of fun to an otherwise minimal space.
What an inspiring home office! The string on the wall to pin inspiration/ postcards and photos, and the oversized, slightly industrial desk lamp- I want one! What do you think? Have you noticed the use of typography throughout the apartment both in frames and the large metal letter?
The main bedroom has a much softer, feminine and even slightly vintage feel to it, still very simple, but the addition of the floral wallpaper and the chandelier style light. I love the soft furry rug! Wouldn’t it be beautiful to wake up in the morning and step out of bed on to a beautiful furry rug!
And last but not least, the second bedroom, any little girls dream come true! What a fun contrast with the red, pink, and the graphic town wallpaper… And how cute is the paper lantern light, it even matches the drapery and bed, (I think I have a new obsession coming on… Paper lanterns! I think I’m being influenced by wedding ideas…).

That’s it for now, hope you all had a lovely weekend, and a good start to the week!
